Privacy Policy
Slydetech, LLC (“we”, “us”) operates the Gym Bro Fitness Challenge mobile app (“App”). This policy explains what information we use, why we use it, and the choices you control.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details.
- Profile and challenge data: starting weight, goal weight, challenge membership, scores, streaks, and daily progress.
- Apple Health data (with your permission): steps, activity, body weight, workouts, and nutrition summaries such as calories and macros when available in Health.
- Android Health Connect (with your permission): connected builds can read steps, weight, and whether a nutrition record exists. Refresh previews readings on your device. When you choose to sync challenge progress, daily steps, weight, and food-log status are saved to your private Firebase account for scoring. Optional history access permits reading older challenge dates. Android does not upload individual food records or calorie/macronutrient details through this sync.
- Photos you upload: private progress photos for your account; reveal photos shared with challenge participants when the reveal opens.
- Feed activity: messages, likes, and comments within your challenge group.
- Notification information: information needed to send reminders if you turn notifications on.
How we use information
- Run fitness challenges and show scores, streaks, and feed activity to your group.
- Update daily progress from Health when you connect it.
- Send optional reminders and feed alerts you opt into.
- Maintain account security and keep the App working reliably.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use Apple Health or Health Connect data for advertising.
- We do not share private progress photos outside your account except reveal submissions you choose to upload for a challenge.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase to provide sign-in, data storage, photo storage, and notifications. Data is processed according to Google’s terms and security practices.
Cookies and this website
This marketing website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Essential hosting delivery may use standard network logs. The App may use Firebase Analytics and crash diagnostics as described in App Store privacy labels.
Data retention
We keep account and challenge information while your account is active. You can delete your account on iPhone under Settings → Delete account. On Android, use Settings → Request account deletion, or contact support. Requests are reviewed before cleanup begins; submitting a request does not immediately delete your account.
Account cleanup removes your profile, saved health progress, uploaded photos, votes, posts, replies, reactions and notification registrations from our active services, including records in challenges you left. Other members' own records remain. Minimal deletion receipts and resolved safety reports are retained for 30 days for support and retry verification, then removed by routine cleanup.
Deleted photos may remain in restricted recovery storage for 7 days. Firestore retains historical versions for up to 1 hour. Operational logs are retained for 30 days; required cloud security audit logs for 400 days. These records are not displayed in the app. Deleting Gym Bro data does not delete original records in Apple Health, Health Connect, or your phone's photo library.
Your choices
- You can decline Health access; some goals will need to be updated manually.
- You can turn notifications off in the App or your phone's settings.
- You can revoke Apple Health or Health Connect access in your phone's settings. Revoking access does not automatically delete previously saved challenge data.
- You can sign out from Settings or request account deletion as described above.
Children
Gym Bro is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
